Solution Train Engineer

At iWelcome we are looking for a Solution Train Engineer (SAFe SCRUM Master) who will be ultimately responsible for delivering new versions of our product and as such aligning multiple teams towards the common goal – releasable versions of our product. As a Super Scrum master, he or she is managing and coordinating all crosscutting activities, dependencies and risks between our Scrum teams in order to meet business goals and objectives and deliver a finished product after each Program Increment. The Solution Train engineer also plays a key role in defining, implementing, maintaining and improving processes, tools, and metrics that govern and support the development and continuous improvement of iWelcome’s engineering process. Obviously, we are looking for professionals who are passionate about delivering first time right and delivering a top quality product by finding creative ways of aligning teams to deliver maximum business value.

Key responsibilities

iWelcome’s new Solution Train Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with Product owners, VP Product Management and our customer-facing Solution Architects and Project Managers.
  • Assisting Solution Architects and Project Managers onboarding new customers.
  • Analysing defined feature specifications and identify crosscutting concerns and dependencies;
  • Analysing defined acceptance criteria and translate them into specific QA activities;
  • Running effective scrum-of-scrum sessions to ensure crosscutting topics are identified and addressed;
  • Assisting the development teams throughout Program Increment on cross-cutting concerns;
  • Working with Technical Leads & Scrum Masters to identify and resolve impediments;
  • Assuring quality gates are applied per the Definition of Done;
  • Reporting directly to iWelcome’s VP Product Management.

Our new Solution Train Engineer:

  • Has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field of study;
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ScrumXP or equivalent certification preferred;
  • Has typically 5 or more years’ related work experience, preferably recent experience with cloud and/or outsourcing and/or infrastructure and/or IAM based solutions;
  • 5+ years’ experience in application architecture, preferably recent experience with large-scale cloud solutions;
  • Proficiency preferred in Java, JavaScript, Material, React, Mongo, Business Intelligent (BI) tools and data analytics and protocols like SAML, OAuth and SCIM;
  • Preferred experience with DevOps automation platforms for builds and deploy;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design and development of complex multi-layer applications
  • Ability to evaluate various (technical) implementations to determine compliance with business requirements and specifications;
  • At least 3 years software experience at an Engineering level;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple Scrum teams.
