Market researcher (Student or part-timer)

iWelcome is looking for a market researcher to join our team for two days a week. We all know that as a consumer you need to register hundreds of times online and your data is everywhere. The new European legislation GDPR will force companies to give consumers control of their data. iWelcome wants to measure the adoption-level of GDPR, and where companies stand during the year before the regulation will become active. That’s where you come in as a market researcher. You’ll be conducting research in the field of privacy regulations and online registration. The research will give us market insights, and will be the basis for publications and PR. You will be responsible for executing the research and reporting on it.

Key responsibilities

Our new colleague will:

  • Inform him-/herself about the European GDPR regulation that will come in to force on May 25, 2018;
  • Design a survey that will give us market insights on where companies stand on online registration and privacy with regards to the upcoming regulation;
  • Gather data through desk research, as well as translating the new-found data into useful market insights and PR information;
  • Work independently, either at our office or from home;
  • Interpret results for understanding of the current situation;
  • Present the results crisp and clear to use for online communication;
  • See and act on PR opportunities together with the marketing team.

Required skills, experience

Our new colleague:

  • Has a good commercial understanding, combined with analytical research skills;
  • Is accurate and pays attention to detail;
  • Shows initiative and is able to work independently;
  • Can translate conclusions into visualisations;
  • Is interested in online communication and IT;
  • Is willing to quickly update his or her knowledge on Identity & Access Management, IT Security and privacy principles;
  • Is a good speaker and writer in English.
