EEMA, the leading independent not for profit European think tank focussing on identification, authentication, privacy, risk management, cyber security, the Internet of Things and mobile applications, announced iWelcome as its latest corporate member.
Based in The Netherlands, iWelcome delivers Identity & Access Management as-a-Service (IDaaS) solutions to organisations across Europe. The company has joined EEMA to share knowledge and expertise on issues relating to privacy and Consent Lifecycle Management (in the context of GDPR and PSD2), public digital identities and market standards.
VP Product & Business Development at iWelcome, Maarten Stultjens, states: “EEMA is a great networking and knowledge organisation in Europe, with focus on digital identity. iWelcome is a technology and innovation leader in the field of digital identity, and born in Europe. So, there’s a great match.”
Stultjens adds: “iWelcome finds it extremely important that there is a community of experts in Europe and that for technology, expertise and standards we do not build on US companies only. Especially around privacy, Europe has taken the lead globally and we want to further develop this industry. Privacy is a unique chance for European companies and their technology providers and expert partners.”
Chair of EEMA, Jon Shamah, comments: “EEMA had the great pleasure of introducing iWelcome to its members at the 30th Annual Conference in July. We are now delighted to announce that they have chosen to join our extensive European network of corporate members, to promote knowledge sharing in the exciting and fast developing field of IDaaS.”
