The 4th and 5th of July, the 30th annual EEMA conference will be held in London. This year’s theme is ‘Privacy vs Identity, the challenges and opportunities’. One topic that will be relevant in the near future is GDPR, the new European data protection regulation, which has a big impact on companies that do business with European citizens. Corné van Rooij, iWelcome’s VP Product, will clarify and visualise how this new regulation impacts Consumer IAM.
Consent Lifecycle Management
Key in the solution of being onwardly compliant with GDPR is Consent Lifecycle Management. Data processors have to be able to demonstrate that a consumer has consented to processing of his or her personal data. A well-designed CIAM platform can support this by keeping track of the consent that is given, for what data and purpose, who the provider of consent is, for how long it can be stored and whether or not it is withdrawn, all in a clear timeline.
