New business challenges introduced by GDPR and PSD2
Customer’s consent as a business driver, not a liability
Understanding legal and compliance aspects of consent management
Making the right design decisions about your future Consent Lifecycle Management
2018 will be a rough year for companies that deal with personally identifiable information. In January the revised Payment Service Directive (PSD2) will be implemented, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect in May. Both regulations introduce the notion of user consent to the domain of Consumer IAM.
So every company that collects and processes consumers’ personally identifiable information will face a new challenge: their customers have to agree to the processing of data. The purpose of use must be specified, and consumers will have a right to withdraw their consent at any time, just as easy as it was given. Managing this consent will therefore become a complicated challenge, that completely changes the user journey, but it’s clear that Consent Lifecycle Management will become an indispensable element of IAM.
Implementing Consent Lifecycle Management requires understanding of business and legal aspects, but it also requires making a lot of careful decisions about technology aspects. This webinar will help you explore your options and give you some insights in the possibilities.
